Hispanic Heritage Month in Omaha is proudly celebrated during Fiestas Patrias on Historic 24th Street.
This year the celebration runs from September 11 - 13, and best of all, it is completely FREE for you and your whole family.
Casa de la Cultura and Supermercado Nuestra Familia will continue the tradition of their Mexican festivals—now in their 106 year to celebrate the "Year of the Family" along historic South 24th Street. The event will feature a parade, a health fair, food, exhibitors, a Mariachi Mass, lucha libre, live music, and concerts by Kumbia Kings and Conjunto Rio Grande.
And don't forget the highlight of our celebration: *El Grito de Independencia* on Sunday night. Featuring fireworks and performances by Banda Santa Cruz and the Hispanic Community Center of Omaha, it is a tradition that unites the entire community.
In 2026, we celebrate 106 years of family festivals in Omaha. 106 years of culture, tradition, and community. Our people have triumphed, persevered, and remain strong.
